At the foundation of Kartsounes Law, LLC is a wealth of talent, highly experienced in working with a variety of complex issues for clients of all sizes, from sole proprietors to large publicly traded corporations. Kartsounes Law, LLC has access to a diverse team of attorneys, engineers, and designers, all available to assist with your individual needs.

Kartsounes Law, LLC principal Heather A. Kartsounes specializes in intellectual property law. She is a first-degree black belt in Karate with over a decade in teaching and tournament level competition and exudes the same disciplined intensity on behalf of her clients and casework.

Prior to founding Kartsounes Law, LLC, Ms. Kartsounes served nearly a decade at a predominant Chicago law firm and most recently served over five years as General Counsel of a publicly traded technology company.

A graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor of Science in microbiology and a minor in chemistry, she received her law degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law at the Illinois Institute of Technology, where she served as president of the Intellectual Property Law Society and was a member of Phi Alpha Delta.

She served as a Law Clerk in the offices of a prominent Chicago-area law firm, focusing on prosecuting patent and trademark applications for clients in a variety of industries. She has also served as a Law Clerk with the City of Chicago's Department of Law, prosecuting cases for the Traffic Division.

Ms. Kartsounes is a registered United States Patent Attorney, licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, and the Seventh Circuit of the United States Court of Appeals.
